Chairwoman

Paula serves as the President and Chairwoman of EMF. Paula’s career as a social group worker in New York has been marked by her unwavering commitment to helping people, especially children, reach their full potential. Working alongside Hans and Rosy Epstein at the YMYHA, Paula personifies a passion for making a difference. Her approach is simple yet profound – she listens. Understanding that often the best solutions come from the young minds themselves. Paula dedicated her career to ensuring that every child, no matter their challenges, has the opportunity to flourish, and most of all, be heard.

Now steering our nonprofit, Paula’s wisdom, compassion, and dedication continues to inspire, shaping not just our present but also the future of our organization.

Gregg Frank

Vice President 

Gregg is the Vice President of EMF. He is an Occupational Therapist by trade and is dedicated to creating accessible environments for those with disabilities in order to allow them to reach their full potential.  His practice has left an undeniable mark on the landscape of healthcare. With a career devoted to empowering individuals with disabilities to thrive in their environments and optimize not only independence, but quality of life. Gregg’s passion extends beyond immediate solutions—he is committed to teaching the next generation of caregivers and healthcare providers. Gregg is instrumental in our program development to assure sustainable and impactful change.

Karen Frank

Scholarship Chair

Karen, a physical therapist, is the dedicated leader of our Physical and Occupational scholarship committee. As a seasoned physical therapist and co-founder of a company with her husband, Gregg, Karen is committed to creating accessible homes for individuals with disabilities to allow for safe and fulfilling aging in place. Her unique blend of expertise in healthcare, operations, and management makes her the perfect guide for our scholarship initiatives.

Under her guidance, our committee works diligently to decrease financial burden of graduate school for aspiring occupational and physical therapists. Karen’s vision is clear – to empower the next generation of therapists, ensuring that financial constraints never hinder their pursuit of to make a positive impact in the world of healthcare.

 

Phil Fehr

Treasurer

Phil a mechanical engineer by trade, serves as Treasurer at EMF. Phil has 30 years of construction management experience, leading teams in building and renovating projects across New York State, showcasing his dedication to community betterment.

Notably, he has served on the project management team for NYC Foundling Hospital and has a reputation for overcoming challenges that may otherwise seem insurmountable.

Phil’s extensive background in construction, as well as a passion for health and fitness aligns seamlessly with our mission of helping individuals and communities reach their highest potential. His family is a reflection of this, including his wife, a medical assistant specializing in lung and heart transplants and his four children, one of which is pursuing a career as a Physician’s Assistant. We’re fortunate to have Phil as a vital part of our leadership team.
